ZeroLandfill Columbus in their 4th year
ZeroLandfill Columbus received a lot of love from the local press. With four years of diverting materials from the landfill and engaging the local community, they have plenty to celebrate. The Columbus Dispatch wrote this article and NBC4 aired the following segment. They filmed during Pollination on Friday afternoon. If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area the weekend of October 5 and 6th will be the last dates for 2012.
Their Facebook page has a great picture arc from welcome to Harvest including volunteers and loading up vehicles full of materials ready to be repurposed. Foodtrucks are setting up to keep volunteers and participants well fed.
Michelle Stitzlein, an artist outside of Columbus who makes incredible found object sculpture, went to the Columbus ZeroLandfill event Saturday morning. I loved her enthusiasm about ZeroLandfill.
