133083_405642512835055_811865198_oZeroLandfill Columbus received a lot of love from the local press.  With four years of diverting materials from the landfill and engaging the local community, they have plenty to celebrate. The Columbus Dispatch wrote this article and NBC4 aired the following segment.  They filmed during Pollination on Friday afternoon.  If you are in the Columbus, Ohio area the weekend of October 5 and 6th will be the last dates for 2012.

Their Facebook page has a great picture arc from welcome to Harvest including volunteers and loading up vehicles full of materials ready to be repurposed.  Foodtrucks are setting up to keep volunteers and participants well fed.

I think it’s great! It was fun…I saw a few fiber artist friends knee deep in memo samples and had a good laugh… while I loaded up on rubber cove base and linoleum samples for myself.

I can’t wait to see what Michelle and all of the other creative artists and teachers create from their ZeroLandfill Harvest finds.  Share them here or here.
